Barkmilk Vine

Alias: None
Origin: Saethera (canopy zones)

The Barkmilk Vine is a robust climbing plant native to the humid canopy zones of Saethera. It thrives in warmlight forests beneath the polar canopy where Saethern’s constant light sustains stable temperatures. Its white, sealing sap is a vital resource for field expeditions, used for dressing wounds and binding fibers. The vine overgrows branches in dense, humid environments, creating natural latticeworks that support small fauna and stabilize canopy ecosystems. It was harvested by early Saetheran tribes for medicinal and structural purposes and remains a key survival tool for modern explorers in the region’s unforgiving terrain.

Lifespan

Lifespan 30–50 Geban years. Rapid growth in the first 5 years. Matures at ~8 Geban years and produces viable seeds in humid seasons when mist is heaviest.
