Alias: None
Origin: Berinu (coastal dunes)
The Salcryst Briar is a low, thorny shrub adapted to Berinu’s dry coastal dunes. Its crystalline, salt-encrusted spines deter herbivores and help the plant retain moisture in harsh, saline environments. It plays a stabilizing role in dune ecosystems and holds cultural significance as a symbol of endurance.
Lives 15–25 years. Matures at 3–5 years. Produces seeds in dry seasons.
Documented in the Era of Absolute Expansion (~3,000 years before modern Geba), Salcryst Briars support Berinu’s dune ecosystems. Extant and resilient.
