Whitewing (Aerovelox gravis)

Alias: None
Origin: Ngorrhal (remote peaks)

The Whitewing is a massive carnivorous raptor native to Ngorrhal’s remote peaks, distinct from the Swiftwing. With an 18–20 m wingspan and immense weight, it uses its bulk to crash into Ngorrhal’s megafauna, such as Greater Smilohounds, during high-altitude dives. Never observed over oceans, it hunts exclusively in montane regions. Its elusive nature and inaccessible habitat limit study. Its presence indicates robust, high-altitude ecosystems supporting large prey.

Lifespan

Whitewings live 30–45 years, reaching maturity at 6–8 years and reproducing during stable montane seasons.

Uses

Notes

Documented during the Era of Absolute Expansion (~3,000 years before modern Geba), Whitewings were noted in the Comprehensive Field Codex as a carnivorous, heavier variant of the Swiftwing. Their use of weight to crash into megafauna distinguishes them, but their remote habitat limits research. Extant and formidable, they thrive in Ngorrhal’s montane ecosystems, embodying brute strength.
