The Crystalhorn Behemoth is an extremely rare, limbless, serpent-like aquatic species native to the deep oceans surrounding Geba’s Permanently Uncharted Continent. Its most distinctive feature is a massive horn-like structure made of dense, white crystalline tissue that emits a blinding glow when exposed to strong light. The horn measures 600–3,000 meters in length and is positioned forward along the head. The body is long, flexible, and prismatic in skin texture, refracting ambient light into shifting colors. The eyes are proportionally small, suggesting reliance on non-visual senses. Estimated total body length is 12–80 kilometers. Estimated weight ranges from 1.2 to 4 million tonnes.

Terrain

Inhabits deep-ocean zones surrounding the Permanently Uncharted Continent. No presence in shallow waters, coastal regions, or surface-level biomes. Confirmed range is entirely abyssal.

Lifespan

Unknown. No juveniles have been recorded. Presumed to be extremely long-lived.

Uses

• Experimental Fuel Source: Remains of the deceased specimen were used during the Era of Absolute Expansion for experimental fuel applications in contemporary rocket propulsion systems.
• Armor Material: Outer skin was studied for its structural resilience and partially used in basic armor prototypes of the time. No industrial replication was achieved.
• Preserved Horn: The horn was removed and transported to the Imperial capital, where a civic structure was built around it for public display. It remains visible to this day and is often mistaken for a monument or architectural remnant.

Notes

Fewer than five sightings have ever been recorded. One deceased individual was discovered beached on the northern coast of Kela during the Era of Absolute Expansion (~3,000 YBM). It showed signs of external trauma. The cause of death remains unknown. No similar-sized predator has been confirmed. The species is presumed extant but unobservable under current conditions. No living specimens have been captured or studied directly.
