Saethera Bridgewood (Arborpontis saethera)

Alias: None
Origin: Saethera (warmlight forests, riverbanks)

The Saethera Bridgewood is a broad-limbed tree native to humid forest regions and riverbanks throughout Saethera. It is distinguished by its horizontally extending branches that naturally form walkable spans over water bodies, and its dense, durable wood. The extensive root system anchors soil and prevents erosion, contributing to ecosystem stability along water routes.

Terrain

Occurs in lowland warmlight forests and along riverbanks with moist, nutrient-rich soils. Absent in arid, high-altitude, or volcanic zones.

Lifespan

Lives 150–250 years. Reaches maturity at 15–20 years. Reproduction occurs during prolonged humid periods.

Height

Mature trees reach 15–25 meters in height, with canopies spanning 10–20 meters. Juveniles under 15 years reach 5–10 meters.

Uses

Notes

Documented in the Comprehensive Field Codex during the Era of Absolute Expansion (~3,000 YBM), the Saethera Bridgewood remains a critical species in the forest–river interface of Saethera. Still widespread and structurally vital, it contributes significantly to both ecological function and traditional infrastructure in Saetheran regions.
