Origin: Jeyrha (coastal shallows)
The Snapbowl is a carnivorous aquatic plant found in the coastal shallows of Jeyrha. It features bowl-shaped traps that quickly snap shut upon contact, capturing small fish and aquatic invertebrates. Its role in regulating local populations has made it a focal point of ecological and mechanical study in Jeyrhan settlements.
Coastal shallows, rooted in sandy, wet soils. Absent in deep or arid biomes.
Lives 8–12 years. Matures at 1–2 years. Produces seeds in tidal seasons.
Reaches 0.3–0.6 meters in height, with a spread of 0.5–1 meter. Juveniles range from 0.1–0.3 meters.
Documented in the Era of Absolute Expansion (~3,000 years before modern Geba), Snapbowls enhance Jeyrha’s coastal ecosystems. Extant and intriguing.
