Origin: Ukhaalstaag (ruins)
The Ukhaal Ruinwood is a twisted, stone-like tree that grows amid the ruins of Ukhaalstaag. Its bark mimics the texture of decayed stone, allowing it to blend seamlessly with ancient structures. This adaptation both stabilizes collapsing ruins and creates habitats for small fauna, weaving the living with the remnants of the past.
Ruins, rooted in rocky, damp soils. Absent in open or arid biomes.
Lives 80–120 years. Matures at 10–15 years. Produces seeds in humid seasons.
Reaches 6–10 meters in height, with a spread of 4–7 meters. Juveniles grow between 1–3 meters.
Documented in the Era of Absolute Expansion (~3,000 years before modern Geba), Ruinwoods became emblematic of Ukhaalstaag’s blend of decay and survival. Extant and symbolic.
